Helping Young People to make good career decisions for life

With significant changes to the way Connexions services and careers advice is funded nationally many young people are finding it difficult to find impartial help and guidance on future choices. Some schools have found that they are unable to offer this option to their pupils whilst others have employed Careers Advice Limited to deliver additional support in school.

Some young people find they have left education without the qualifications they need to progress in their chosen career or do not have a clear idea of what they would like to do.We often receive enquiries from parents and young people themselves asking for our expert support and advice. We are able to offer the following options of help.

Face to Face Guidance 

This allows individuals to meet in confidence with a highly trained and experienced Careers Adviser. The session will initially be for 1 hour with follow up options available. Appointments can be arranged at the nearest of our offices convenient to you.

Morrisby Profile 

If you ask yourself questions such as: What would I be good at? What would interest me? What career would I enjoy? Then Morrisby Profile can help you.

The Morrisby Profile is a 3 hour psychometric assessment which assesses your abilities, personality and interests and uses the information to match you to 12 careers which really suit you as an individual. It can also highlights any talents that you have not yet had the opportunity to develop.

Connexions Berkshire has trained staff who administer the Morrisby Profile and we run the sessions at various points throughout the year and during school holidays.

The cost is £95 and you get a 20 page report from Morrisby detailing your strengths and aptitudes and how these link to your career interests. The report will be feedback to you by a trained adviser so you can ask any questions you may have.
