Mental and emotional health is as important as physical health for all round wellbeing. Being in good shape physically can help you to stay strong mentally, think ‘healthy body, healthy mind’.
It is normal to feel stressed, low spirited or angry sometimes, but for most people these feelings pass fairly quickly. If you are finding it difficult to deal with your feelings, it is important to seek help.
Our tips:
-
Take regular exercise
-
Eat healthily
-
Get enough sleep
-
Get outside – fresh air can help you to feel more positive!
-
If you are worried about something find someone to talk to (this could be a friend, parent, teacher, or Connexions PA)
-
Try to stay positive, and not to dwell on negative thoughts or feelings
-
Spend time with family and friends – being around others can help you to forget your worries
-
Take up a hobby or sport (visit the free time section for some ideas!)
