Windsor Service Extended Throughout Summer
9-4-2010
We are pleased to announce that we will be continuing to offer our information, advice and guidance services to young people from Windsor who are currently NEET (not in education, employment or training) throughout the summer months.
The weekly service, which is open to young people aged 13-19 (or up to 25 for those with a learning difficulty or disability), will run every Monday afternoon from 19th April until 23rd August 2010 (except for the Bank Holidays on 3rd and 31st May) from 1pm to 4pm, at the Resource Centre, 1st Floor, Windsor Youth and Community Centre, Alma Road, Windsor, Berkshire, SL4 3HD.
Eva Jolley, an Employment and Training Adviser based at the Maidenhead Connexions Centre in King Street, said, “Since we started our Monday afternoon service in September last year, we’ve seen over 60 young people. The feedback we’ve received from them has been really positive. Many have said how useful and helpful our sessions have been, while others have said that the information we have been able to provide has made them feel more equipped and confident to take steps to move into education, employment or training.”
Young people who are unable to access the Connexions service in Windsor can visit us at the Connexions Centre at TIC TAC, 49 King Street, Maidenhead, SL6 1DZ Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 11am - 5pm and Wednesday 11am - 4pm. Throughout term time Personal Advisers are also based in every state secondary school or college of further education in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.
