Sexual health issues can be an embarrassing subject to talk about, especially with people like your parents or teachers. Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) are frighteningly common and are easy to catch, whatever age, race or sexuality you are.
But however embarrassing it is, it is something you need to seriously think about. As well as talking to Connexions, there are places you can go to get free confidential advice. Your mates may think they know the answers, but they are usually unaware of the facts. Find out about them - knowing the facts means that you can protect yourself and rely on what you know.

BRACKNELL: The Garden Clinic, Skimped Hill Health Centre, Bracknell (Tel. 01344 458118):
Clinics are for any sexual health issue, unless stated otherwise. Staff in the clinic can offer advice and information on all methods of contraception, emergency contraception, sexually transmitted infections including HIV, and counselling and referral around unwanted pregnancy. All Clinics are appointment only unless stated.
Mondays:
- 4pm - 6pm: Nurse Treatment Clinic
- 6pm - 8pm: Contraception only
Thursdays:
- 10am - 2pm: Sexual Health Screening
- 12 - 2pm: Contraception
- 3.30pm - 5.30pm: Speakeasy (17 & under only). Walk in - no appointment necessary
Condoms and Chlamydia self testing are available during clinic hours.
