If you are travelling by train then the best way to find out train times and fare prices would be at your local station or to contact National Rail Enquiries, which will give you up to date information. See the Links menu to the right of this page for more local train information.

If you book tickets in advance then your train fare will be much cheaper.  Tickets purchased in advance may only be available for selected journeys, so it’s best to check.  The price of your ticket will depend on what time you are travelling.  Peak times will be more expensive, i.e. early mornings and early evenings on weekdays.

16-25 year olds are entitled to discouted train travel when you buy a 16-25 Railcard.

Buses
