What we do
Connexions Berkshire provides information, advice and guidance to 13-19 year olds (and up to 25 with learning difficulties or disabilities) to help them progress successfully into education, employment and training. Connexions Berkshire works in Bracknell, Reading, Slough, Wokingham and West Berkshire.
Working in partnership with others, we aim to:
- Offer young people impartial and professional guidance on learning and career options
- Raise young peoples’ aspirations and motivate them to achieve their full potential
- Help young people overcome barriers to their progression in learning and work, including issues such as: housing, relationships, bullying, health matters (including sexual health), substance misuse, finance, offending behaviour
- Help parents, carers and families motivate and support young people in accessing learning, employment and personal development opportunities and make successful transitions from one stage to the next
